What is BS5837 Tree Survey
BS5837:2012 Trees in Relation to Design, Demolition and Construction – Recommendations
Our BS5837 Tree Surveys record and categorise individual trees, groups of trees, and woodlands, with additional detail provided for shrub masses, hedges, and hedgerows where required. These surveys include accurate plotting of trees and vegetation features, enabling their position and constraints to be clearly understood in relation to the design and layout of a development.
Where potential impacts or conflicts with trees are identified, BS5837 Tree Surveys inform the preparation of key supporting documents, including Arboricultural Impact Assessments (AIA), Arboricultural Method Statements (AMS), and Tree Protection Plans. These ensure that tree-related constraints are properly managed and that development can proceed in accordance with best practice and planning requirements.
