About the Course
This one-day, field-based Woodland Plant Identification Course provides an accessible introduction to identifying a wide range of woodland plants. Participants will build confidence in recognising characteristic woodland species, including flowering plants, grasses and common bryophytes, through guided observation and practical exercises in the field.
Alongside plant identification, the course introduces the fundamentals of woodland survey and assessment. Practical activities are designed to help participants understand how plant communities reflect woodland condition, while developing the skills needed to record and interpret botanical information in a professional context through this Woodland Plant Identification Course.
No prior experience is required, making it suitable for those new to plant identification as well as those looking to build a solid foundation in woodland botany.
